Aug 4 ISOC-DC Brainstorming breakfast meeting

 
Brainstorming breakfast 8:30 – 9:30 AM Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Coffee Bar at the Stamp Student Union Center, University of Maryland main campus in College Park MD.
 
How to get there:

 
1) DRIVING: The Stamps Student Union Building on the U of MD main campus, is on Campus Drive, 1/2 mile from the main gate on Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue). See map here.
 
From downtown DC, proceed 8 miles north on Baltimore Avenue, turn left onto Campus Drive at the U of MD main gate.
 
From the Capital Beltway, take Exit 25, Baltimore Avenue south, proceed about 2 miles south, turn right onto Campus Drive at the U of MD main gate.
 
After you turn onto Campus Drive, proceed less than 1/2 mile, the Stamps Student Union Building will be on your right, large brick building with 4 white columns, ‘Adele Stamps Student Union’ in large letters above the columns. Proceed past the Stamps building, turn right, the public parking facility will be on your left.
 
2) BY METRO: The DC Metro has a stop at the U of MD campus, name ‘U MD College Park’. It is a considerable uphill walk from the metro stop to the Stamps building. Advise taking the U MD campus bus, red-and-white bus, free, shuttles between the metro stop and the Stamps building.

This the third of three “brainstorming breakfasts” ISOC-DC is holding to gather and discuss more suggestions regarding where ISOC-DC should focus its energy and resources. Bring along a few friends with you; it is good to recruit more members.
 
The goal is simply to have some small-group discussions and start to build some consensus on what the ISOC-DC mission should be and what kind of events we might want to start organizing.
